I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
Friday I spent the day studying, since Thursday was the 4th and I did nothing and I had to work Saturday and Sunday. We have exams every Wednesday, so that gives me Friday, Monday, and Tuesday to do a 7 page study guide.
As I said, Saturday and Sunday I spent working. Saturday was by far my most difficult work day yet. After work I went to my cousin's high school graduation party. I was exhausted, but I am glad I went. My favorite aunt and uncle were down from up north so I got to see them and we may go up and visit them next weekend, so excited! I got home around 7:30 and just crashed. I slept for the rest of the night.
Sunday work was MUCH better. Sunday night my friend Holly and I went to see Wicked in Milwaukee. From my last few posts, we all know how much I love Wicked, and it did not disappoint! We originally thought we were in the third row because we had row CC, but it turned out that AA and BB was the space for the pit band/orchestra, so we were actually in the front row! It was so amazing, we got both Wicked themed alcoholic drinks that they served, one at the beginning, and pre-ordered for intermission so we didn't even have to wait in line! Jennifer DiNoia, who I'd previously seen as Elphaba in NYC, was even better than the last time I saw her. The whole night was just SOOO special! I'm so thankful for everything!
My picture with Jennifer DiNoia in 2010. She's fabulous!
In my last post (minus Five on Friday), I said I had some big news to share.
Well, here it is ...
We plan to start trying to get pregnant at the beginning of 2014!
I've been married for almost 3 years, but I have to say I've never really had "Baby Fever" until just recently. I always knew that I would want kids, however, with school seeming never-ending as well as having to get things in order with my PKU diet, it just always seemed so far off to me. But now that I have my diet under control and well on my way to pre-conception/pregnancy strictness, and that I am just a short 9 months from graduation, I've been thinking about it more and more.
My husband and I talked about it and I was definitely okay with being a few months pregnant before graduating, so we decided to start trying at the beginning of the year. I'm so excited, but nervous too. I'm going to have to see both an OB/GYN as well as a metabolic specialist during pregnancy because I will be considered high-risk. My dietician is amazing though, I really love her, and she's monitored many pregnancies and all have been successful. Can't wait to take this step and begin a new chapter of my life!!
Hope everyone has a great week!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
