Happy Is What Happens When All Your Dreams Come True ...

I have very exciting news.

A couple weeks ago I applied online for a different intern job. This job is honestly anything I've ever wanted since I decided I wanted to be a nurse. It is an Extern position with the company that all 3 of my parents (my mom, dad, and stepmom) have worked at for over 15 years. I have ALWAYS wanted to work for this company, but it's pretty hard to get into, especially with little to no experience. It is also in OB ... which is what I want to do for the rest of my life. So I filled out the application not expecting much to come of it.

Last Wednesday, I got a text from my former teacher (the one that I really love and that I tutor for) telling me to e-mail my resume and cover letter to the manager of the OB floor. She had a clinical group there that morning and I guess had told the manager about me and that I applied for the job. Well, she must have said AMAZING things, because 2 hours later I had an interview set up for Monday (yesterday).

Yesterday I went in and met with the manager, and by the end of the interview she was writing down my winter break dates to give HR to try and get me into orientation and trained before I go back to school on January 15th. She told me that I will be working/trained in L&D and postpartum and then once I graduate she will have a job for me. I sat in my car afterward just like in disbelief. This is one of the biggest dreams I've ever had in my life and it's coming true!!!

I'll share more details later, but I just wanted to freak out over it a little on my blog haha :)
