Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today is my favorite holiday, mainly because I feel there is so much that each one of us has to be grateful and thankful for and what better way to express our gratitude than on a holiday set aside for that sole purpose. Yes, the food is a delicious bonus, but I truly see Thanksgiving for its true meaning, and it is just a wonderful, positive, happy day! I have a multitude of things to be thankful for, but I will just list the basics below. Everyone have a great day!
God the Father and Jesus my Savior.
I am so blessed to have been raised to know God and Jesus and that I've developed a relationship with them throughout my life. No offense to anyone's religious beliefs but I simply don't know how people get through life without knowing God how they can know any hope at all. God is my rock and gets me through everything and anything and I am so blessed by Him.
My family.
My husband is the most amazing man on Earth. He would do anything for me or to see me happy. I love him so much and I don't know what I would do without him. I have the best mom, dad, and stepmom in the whole world! Also my wonderful siblings and my extended family as well.
My close friends.
I have always been a person who felt that I've not had enough friends at times. It's hard to explain, but I've always felt like I just have that few close friends that I would hang around with (or not considering some of them live out of town), but I have to say that this year I have been blessed with SO MANY wonderful friendships in my life. Bianca and I have been best friends for going on 8 years -- even though we live miles apart we stay in touch daily and I couldn't do life without her. I love Tracy and my Checci's and miss them so much but I'm so happy they are always constants in my life. Tessa is my best friend from around here and I'm so thankful to have her, she's just the most kind, caring person!
In addition, my former instructors (Paula, Maryanne, Vicki, and Sonya) have all now become good friends now that I am not their student any longer. They're very inspiring and such great role models for me to look up to. My co-workers are also some of the most incredibly beautiful and caring people I've ever known. I absolutely love them all, and I am SO SO blessed to be a part of the amazing team that is LDRP at AMCK.
My job.
I'm sure if any of you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you know that I absolutely adore my job. This is a job I have wanted since I began nursing, and it still blows my mind every day that I walk onto our unit that I am there. I am SO thankful to my manager for hiring me as an Extern and taking me on a recommendation from one of my teachers, and to that teacher for helping me get the job. I don't think I could ever want to do anything else, ANYWHERE else, ever!
My health.
I do have some health problems going on that I haven't brought up here yet (maybe later), but I have to say that I am thankful that I am in overall good health and that I'm able to wake up everyday with air in my lungs and my heart beating in my chest. I know that some people take health for granted, but as a nurse, I never have and never will. We would be nowhere without it.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!! :)
