How is it October?!

This year (particularly this SEMESTER) is flying by sooo quickly. I only have 3 weeks of clinical left! This makes me both happy and sad. Happy because I will have 16 hours back in my week, but sad because I LOVE everything about our clinical .. the people in my class, the hospital we're at, the nurses, and my teacher! I've learned so much already. Tuesday I was at a day care center for the day, we all take one day and go there. Our class is also kind of a care across the lifespan class, so it was all about working with the kids and seeing the different stages of development they were at. I had the most amazing time with them all, this precious 3 year old named Olivia would not leave my side the whole time I was there. This place was amazing. Everything was so structured, it was really more of a preschool than a day care. The people who worked there were so good with the kids. They were totally caring but at the same time kept them in line. I was telling my teacher how much I loved it and she asked if I'd send my kids there and I said wellll if it wasn't 45 minutes from where I live!! Then she said she would talk to the head of the place and tell them that I'd be interested in working there in the summer a couple days a week, which I totally would.

I have so much work to do tonight. I have to type up my first CET (Clinical Evaluation Tool), which I'm really nervous about because I've never done one for Paula before, and I always need to like figure out what the teachers want first. So I'm nervous that it wont be what she wants and I'll screw it up. Then I have to do a newborn assessment with a care plan. I'm going to be up until like 1am PLUS tomorrow all day I will need to be studying for my Promotions exam on Monday. Donaldo is taking me out to dinner first and then I'm going to get to work. My poor husband is so neglected when I'm in school, I feel so bad.

This weekend I will be working Saturday and Sunday and then next week I have classes and after clinical ends Wednesday Donaldo and I are leaving for Minnesota :) We're staying with one of my friends who lives in the Twin Cities and Thursday is the Kelloggs Tour of Gymnastic Champions! I bought Platinum VIPS which include front row seats and meet and greet passes!! I'm so stoked to meet all of my girls (except Kyla won't be there and maybe not McKayla). But Jordyn, Aly, and Gabby will be plus others. I think I'm most excited to meet Alicia Sacramone. Gosh I will be DYING.

Hope everyone's week is great.
