Homeowners!

Things have been so busy, mainly because WE GOT THE HOUSE!!

We are beyond excited that we got it, especially since there were two other offers put in. The last two weeks have been spent meeting with a lender, scheduling and completing a home inspection, signing for our loan, setting up an appraisal, etc. We close on April 3rd, and it cannot come fast enough!! I cannot wait until we have the keys in our hands!

I can't wait to get away next week! My mom, D, and I are going on a Western Caribbean cruise for 5 days. We fly to Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesday and are on the ship for 3 days, as well as stopping a day in Cozumel. I have been so busy recently and I cannot wait to just relax and have a great vacation.

Pictures of our ship ^^ I can't wait to climb the rock wall :)

School is still going pretty well, just busy. Since I'm missing a week I have to write an extra paper to get my points for the class I'm missing. That equals a total of 3 papers before I leave ugh. I did one today, so two more left.

I'm so excited for the house and I cannot wait to close and move in!!

House hunting

We are putting in an offer on a house today!!

I'm really excited but I'm trying to be cautiously excited because I know that there will be at least two other offers besides ours. This house is priced so that it is almost underpriced and my realtor said that she thinks they are trying to inspire multiple offers. This means it will actually be similar to an auction, like who will pay the most, whereas normally when you're going to put an offer in on a house it's how good of a deal can I get, how low can I offer? We decided on a maximum amount we'd be willing to offer and just offered it right away, thinking that if the seller has multiple offers (some of which could be more than our initial offer) they may not even bother countering our offer. If they accept our maximum, great if not it wasn't meant to be but at least we offered all we could.

We should know by midnight tonight. D is freaking out in excitement but I'm trying to remind him that there are more offers and not to get his hopes up too much! Below are some pictures, I really hope we get it and they accept our offer! It's everything we've been looking for & one of our prime locations.

Here's some pictures :) Its 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. We love the open concept and the hardwood floors! I adore how much natural light comes in with all of the windows, I'm so picky about light! Please send prayers for us!

Other happenings recently …

I am halfway done with my first BSN class! As of right now I have 100% in it! It's mainly all papers and presentations, but it's going well. I can't wait to have the first class done and under my belt.

I had my first dentist appointment in 10 years on Monday. I was never able to go because I didn't have insurance and couldn't afford it. I was deathly afraid of the condition of my teeth, especially when one of my friends who also just went back for the first time in a long time told me she had 18 cavities! It actually ended up much better than expected. I have to have a cleaning on Thursday which may turn into a deeper cleaning/debridement and I have to get my wisdom teeth out (which I figured), but I only had 2 cavities! Very grateful that it wasn't worse.

I got a $1.52/hour raise! I guess our hospital is trying to be more competitive relative to the other hospitals in the area when it comes to pay rates, so everyone got some type of raise. Very exciting, and this is not the same as my annual raise, which will be coming up in March.

My mom, D, and I leave for our cruise on March 4th! I'm really excited, especially just to get away from the craziness around here recently and to be in warm weather!! I am so sick of winter and cold, although I am SO grateful we haven't had much snow this year. Today I have to go shopping for a new bathing suit and clothes.

Yesterday my friend and I bought platinum tickets to the Secret Classic in Chicago on July 25th! We go to this USA WAG meet every year, but this year we bought really great seats and our tickets come with  a "meet & greet with an Olympian" before the meet begins, so that would probably mean Kyla, Aly, or Gabby, so we're excited for that.

I'm off to Ash Wednesday mass. I'm giving up soda for Lent this year. I used to not drink much of it but since I've started working nights full time it's just been out of control. I'm hoping that by doing this it will help me stop drinking it for good. It's going to be difficult though, since currently I'm drinking at least one a day, sometimes more.

Have a great week everyone!
