Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, everyone. *sarcasm*
More like UGH IT'S MONDAY .. AND I have to work.

Maybe thoughts of my fun weekend will make me feel better.

Friday I worked during the day and then after work Donaldo and I went to the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee. Let me be totally honest, the best reason for going to the fair is the food. They have the most ridiculously delicious, horrible-for-you goodness. Last year, we went with my sister and her boyfriend and ate way too much. This year, I had an idea on how not to make myself ill. I stayed away from all of the sweeter foods, which tend to kill my stomach ... so no chocolate dipped cookie dough or elephant ears this year, but still plenty of amazingness! Roasted corn, spiral potatoes on a stick, chinese (chicken on a stick for Donaldo and veggie lo-mein for me), fried veggies, etc. SO DELICIOUS

We also just walked around and checked out some of the booths in the expo center and also the cows and pigs and stuff brought in for some kind of auction I think and we rode the SkyLine which was nice and relaxing. We had a great time, and it's been a long time since we did something fun alone. It was a beautiful night too.

Saturday morning I spent getting my mom set up to get AT&T Uverse since Time Warner Cable SUCKS and I honestly hate them. It took me mostly all morning both at the store and on the phone, but  I ended up getting her an amazing deal and I can't wait until it's installed!! Then around noon I went to meet my friend Nidia for lunch at my old Olive Garden. It was so weird being there, I haven't been there since April. But it was really good, and nice seeing everyone. At night, my dad, stepmom, brother, and I went out to dinner for my stepmom's birthday.

Sunday my mom, D, and I went to go look at a bunch of houses. We aren't buying/building anytime in the VERY near future, but mainly just were going to see what was out there, and what we like/dislike. It's fun, but makes me want everything NOW. LOL, so it's kind of teasing in a way. Here are some pictures of our favorite. We would build this house though, since it is a model home. There weren't many good pictures but this home is beautiful!

Exterior ... I'd probably do the same colors, I loved them.

Family room, stairs to the basement. The master bed/bath is to the right,
the other bedrooms and bath are to the left before the stairs (2 hallways).

Same family room to the right opens into the kitchen/dining area to the left.

A different angled shot of the kitchen/dining area. Love the kitchen!

Most of the master bedroom, the bath is to the left and another window to the right.

Last but certainly not least .. UM, can we talk about Lea Michele at the TCA's last night? I bawled my eyes out her entire speech. She is honestly the bravest soul in the world ... what kind of a person could have gone up there like that? I was so proud of her and just so sad for her but what a strong, brave, wonderful person she is. I know that Cory is up in heaven SO PROUD of her too. I have never ever loved her more.

Her CORY necklace<3 Lea Michele, you are such an amazing,
strong person and I love love you so much always.

  1. Love that kitchen & the hanging lights. It's my DREAM to build my own house (probably more than kids LOL) so I'm excited to follow along with you guys in the future :)

  2. OMG IM IN LOVE WITH IT. Like, I'm so obsessed over it that I won't be able to look at anything else. My mom's best friend used to build houses for a living with her mom and brother in law and I asked my mom "Would Lee build my house?" and I was totally joking but my mom said she actually might like someday when we have all the money. DEAD like I hope it happens!

Omg I can just picture you designing the most beautiful house!

And that's such a pretty house! The kitchen looks so cool with all the cupboards and the island.
